Housestaff complete orientation

(L-R) Rajdeep Kakar, internal medicine, receives information from Susan Mercer and Brenda Rose of the University Health System Alliance during the Housestaff Orientation held June 28 on campus. Approximately 200 new residents attend the yearly orientation to learn about hospital policies and procedures including patient admissions, compliance codes and prescription writing. Representatives from the Health Science Center, University Hospital, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System and other health care organizations gave presentations and answered residents' questions.
