Making the Rounds

• Dr. Janet Allan, dean of the School of Nursing, was a guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Downtown Rotary Club. She discussed the nursing shortage.

• Rodrigo Lozano, formerly of custodial services, has recovered nicely from his recent stroke. He extends a warm thank you to his friends on campus. His wife, Mariana, works in dental diagnostic science. "She needed me to recover so I could do the cleaning and make the tortillas at home," he joked. Rodrigo, who suffered an aneurysm two years ago, retired with 30 years of service, including 17 as a supervisor.
