Jennifer Yang, MS-IV, was awarded the Outstanding Medical Student Award by the San Antonio Urologic Society and the Health Science Center's division of urology at the division's annual banquet. The highly competitive award recognizes outstanding performance by a medical student in urology. "With many students applying successfully for very competitive residency programs in a specialty with about a 70 percent match rate, and with two MS-IVs recently awarded American Foundation for Urologic Disease summer research fellowships, Ms. Yang's award is that much more significant," Dr. Ian Thompson, urology, said.
