White named to national VP post
DR. WHITE

Dr. Gary White,
director of academic
and facilities
scheduling in student
services, recently was
elected vice president
of the Association for
Multidiscipline
Education in the
Health Sciences
(AMEHS). He will
serve a one-year term.
AMEHS delegates
selected Dr. White at
the group's 32nd
annual meeting, held
at the University of
Washington. Among
its missions, AMEHS
promotes the
exploration of
educational
approaches and acts as
a clearinghouse for
information on the
planning and operation
of multidiscipline
facilities.
While in Seattle, Dr.
White toured
laboratories and
classrooms of the
university's Health
Sciences Complex.
University
presentations
included
discussions
on local
successes
and
challenges
associated
with the
University of
Washington
Dental
Simulation Clinic, the Willed Body
Program and the
Standardized Patient
Program.
Dr. White also
represented the Health
Science Center at
meetings in the United
Kingdom, where he
was the invited guest
speaker for a
CELCAT® site license
event. CELCAT® is
the computer-assisted
timetabling application
used to produce
schedules at the Health
Science Center.
