Applause

Congratulations to Dr. Virginia Bowden, director of the Briscoe Library, and Jonquil Feldman, assistant to the library director. They were awarded the Medical Library Association's (MLA) Research Award for their poster presentation titled "Faculty Survey of Library Use at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio: Comparison of 1996 and 2000." The poster described the results of a survey conducted last year that measured faculty perception of library resources and services, compared results with the 1996 survey, and systematically collected opinions.

At its annual conference, the Medical Library Association awards committee of the MLA research section evaluates research papers and posters for quality of research. Up to five awards are presented to projects that exemplify originality in medical science library research.
