Effective Clinical Teaching workshop scheduled for April 22, 23

The division of educational research and development of academic informatics services will conduct its 23rd annual "Effective Clinical Teaching" workshop for Health Science Center faculty from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22 and 23. The 12-hour professional development program is a long-standing tradition at the UTHSC. Since 1979, more than 600 faculty members from all schools on campus have completed the workshop. The workshop features several micro-teaching sessions (practice teaching) in which participants give feedback, guide student presentations with questions, explain difficult concepts in a short period of time and intervene with challenging students. After each practice teaching experience, participants receive feedback from other faculty members and course instructors.
