Dr. Tuhin
Chaudhuri,
professor of
radiology and
chief of nuclear
medicine at the
South Texas
Veterans Health
Care System, was
invited by the
American College of Nuclear Medicine
to speak at the organization's 29th
annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions
held recently in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Dr. Chaudhuri presented his research,
titled "Overview of Gastrointestinal
Nuclear Medicine," which included his
original research on gastric emptying,
gastroesophageal reflux, retained
antrum detection, salivary gland and
liver function imaging, and detection of
acute gastrointestinal bleeding. He also
discussed the use of these modalities in
assessing therapeutic efficacy.
