Dr. Seema Ahuja's work is far from simple. She studies the biological role of dendritic cells and T cell development. Her findings are published in the most prestigious journals and the best scientists seek her advice and expertise.

Dr. Ahuja is considered a generous and helpful collaborator, working with a number of scientists at the Health Science Center. She also serves as a mentor for young trainees at several levels. It is all part of why she loves her job.

"Every day I wake up and I want to come to work," Dr. Ahuja said. "I love my research here and there is nothing else I'd rather do."

Dr. Ahuja joined the Health Science Center in 1996 and now works as an assistant professor in the division of nephrology.
