Lynanne Foster, M.D.
Assistant Professor

Dr. Lynanne J. Foster joined the University of Texas Health Science Center Department of Orthopaedics as an Assistant Professor in the Sports Medicine Division. She is Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery, and is in her third year of teaching residents. During her undergraduate education at Rice University, she earned a full scholarship in their Athletic Trainer Program and a B.A. in both English and Sports Medicine.  After medical school and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, she went on to complete the Union Memorial Sports Medicine Fellowship in Baltimore, Maryland. There she traveled with the Morgan State University football team as team physician, and also covered the high school state champion lacrosse team. After fellowship, she returned to Houston for two years to become team physician for the professional women’s basketball team, the Houston Comets, and for her alma mater, the Rice Owls.
