Erica Lin Moloney is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who currently specializes in adult joint reconstruction surgery. She is first surgical assistant to Dr. Amanda Marshall. Ms. Moloney earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications at the University of Kutztown, Pennsylvania in 1983 and went on to obtain her Physician Assistant education at Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medicine in 1988. Prior to accepting her faculty position at UTHSCSA, she gained 20 years’ experience in orthopaedics and cardiology, beginning in 1988 at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina where she was a surgical assistant in orthopaedics in the fields of adult spine, sports medicine and adult joint reconstruction. During her years at Duke, she was a member of the adult diagnostic and interventional cardiology department and was one of the first Physician Assistants to perform balloon angioplasty and stent placement. She also instructed in Orthopaedics at the Duke Physician Assistant program and co-authored publications in her area of expertise. In San Antonio private practice, she was a first surgical assistant in the field of orthopaedic surgery joint reconstruction. Ms. Moloney has three children and one grandchild.
