Karin J. Barnes, PhD, OTR Chair & Associate Professor Karin Barnes is a graduate of the University of Kansas, having earned a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1975 and a Master's Degree in Special Education for the Severely Handicapped in 1979. She received her Ph.D. in Special Education at the University of Texas at Austin in 1999. Her area of expertise in occupational therapy is with children with developmental disabilities in public school and community settings. Dr. Barnes teaches pediatric and research courses. Her research interest areas are in children with developmental disabilities; public school occupational therapy; hand skill development, and activities of daily living tasks of children with disabilities. |
