Kimatha Grice, MOT, OTR, CHT

Kimatha is a graduate of Texas A & M University, having earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Health Education and Community Health and of Texas Woman's University where
she earned a Master of Occupational Therapy Degree. Ms. Grice has over twenty-seven
years of experience in clinical practice including orthopedic, pediatric,
neurological and hand rehabilitation. She has expertise in clinical program
development and management in rehabilitation settings. Kimatha has the distinction
of being a certified hand therapist and has managed therapy units for orthopedic
hand surgeons. Ms. Grice has had extensive experience in giving presentations on
splinting and rehabilitation at professional seminars, universities and clinics.
She continues to treat patients at a private outpatient clinic as part of a faculty
practice. She has served in various capacities at the district level of TOTA, and as
an item writer for both the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and NBCOT.
She teaches
Applied
Biomechanics and courses related to adults with physical dysfunction. She received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2002.
