WELCOME!

The ENT Student Interest Group is excited to announce the creation of a new website designed to provide a comprehensive guide for UTHSCSA students interested in otolaryngology. The website will include advice for the years in medical school, investigating the field, understanding the application process, stages of residency and various options for practicing otolaryngology.

By publishing this resource on the world wide web, we hope to make this a valuable tool to students nationwide. In addition to providing general information relating to the speciality, this format will allow broader access to the unique resources available through our faculty and program at UTHSCSA as a resource for any medical student interested in otolaryngology.

See the Otolaryngology Programs Listing for information about individual residencies in the U.S.

Look forward to upcoming additions including:

  • Picking a specialty
  • Picking an advisor
  • Third and fourth year planning and advice
  • Applying for away rotations
  • Variety of practice, settings and populations in Otolaryngology
  • Career paths involving otolaryngology - board options, requirements
  • Typical progression of residency training
  • Options for shadowing otolaryngologists in San Antonio
