Give Cancer the Boot Survivorship 5K Run/Walk CTRC held the inaugural Give Cancer the Boot Survivorship 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 14th at the UTHSCSA track. This new annual event’s purpose is to celebrate cancer survivors and to raise awareness about cancer survivorship. The race illustrates that today’s cancer survivors continue to increase in number with better quality of life than ever before.
The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium is presented by the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, the American Association for Cancer Research and Baylor College of Medicine. We work to advance progress against breast cancer. This annual symposium presents essential information for doctors and patients, combined with engrossing discussion for basic, translational and clinical cancer research professionals.
The CTRC Symposium is presented by the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at UT Heatlh Science Center San Antonio, supported through an NCI Cancer Center Support Grant. The symposium is for CTRC member cancer researchers (both associate and full) and interested predoctoral and postdoctoral students. The Practical Applications of New Agents in Oncology Conference educates healthcare professionals about newly available agents in oncology. The conference offers information on new immunotherapies and a discussion of new clinical studies for anticancer agents. Several world-renowned and local speakers discuss how to incorporate these agents into standard clinical practice, providing guidance to the front-line clinicians, nurses and pharmacists regarding current or projected appropriate use of these therapeutics.
