The Cancer Survivorship Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2017, celebrating and honoring cancer survivors.
The race, which begins at 8 a.m., will cover a distance of 2.6 miles. It will start at the UT Health San Antonio Cancer Therapy & Research Center and follow the UT Medical Center trail. The event is open to anyone, including children.
The cost for participants is $20. However, cancer survivors and children under 12 will be admitted without charge and well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to tag along with their owners.
Race sponsors include Platinum Wealth Solutions of Texas LLC, University Health System and Thunderdash, operators of a Texas Hill Country mud and obstacle course. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Patient and Family Services Fund at the UT Health San Antonio Cancer Therapy & Research Center, which support services provided to the center’s patients.
