Dr. Eduardo M. Sotomayor
Dr. Eduardo M. Sotomayor, director at the George Washington Cancer Institute will be this year's keynote speaker. Dr. Sotomayor was recently appointed the inaugural director of the George Washington Cancer Center (GWCC) and Professor of Medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the GWCC, Dr. Sotomayor was the scientific director of the DeBartolo Family Personalized Medicine Institute, and chair of the Department of Malignant Hematology at the Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute.
Dr. Sotomayor has a strong interest in personalized medicine for cancer treatment and is is an internationally recognized visionary in the field of lymphoma research and treatment. His primary area of research is immunobiology and immunotherapy of B-cell malignancies, with special emphasis on the design of novel immunotherapeutic approaches for these diseases. He has published more than 100 manuscripts, including seminal publications in leading journals such as Nature Medicine, Nature Immunology, Immunity, Cancer Cell, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Clinical Investigations, Blood, Cancer Research, and Journal of Immunology.
