Dr. Meeghan Lautner’s clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of both malignant and benign breast disease. This includes procedures such as lumpectomy, skin-sparing mastectomy, nipple-sparing mastectomy and assessment of axillary lymph nodes. Dr. Lautner comes to us from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, after completing a fellowship in breast surgical oncology which provided advanced knowledge and skills in the surgical and multidisciplinary management of breast cancer. She attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and completed her general surgical residency at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. Her research interests include barriers in access to care for breast cancer and cancer pain.
