Deborah E. Seigler, BHS, MPAS, PA-C, a native of North Carolina, graduated magna cum laude from Duke University's Physician Assistant program in 1977. She has 20 years of oncology experience beginning at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she specialized in gastrointestinal malignancies. Currently, Deborah is on the faculty at the UT Health Science Center in the Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery. In partnership with University Hospital System (UHS), the UT Health Science Center has a strong breast cancer program serving large numbers of underserved Hispanic women in San Antonio, and is recognized as a Breast Center of Excellence by the National Consortium of Breast Centers. Deborah's current efforts are focused on establishing a high risk cancer screening and genetics component to the Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery. Deborah has co- authored more than 30 book chapters, articles, abstracts and patient care manuals, which are available on request.
