Orthotists at UT Health San Antonio are experienced in providing specialized treatment for injury, instability and weakness of the knee. With many knee orthosis available, you and your orthotist will evaluate your goals to design the best-personalized treatment plan for you.

Orthotists at UT Health San Antonio provide quality custom and custom-fit orthoses based on each patient’s condition and pathology. Knee orthoses are utilized to treat chronic knee instability in gait, weakness, and/or joint contractures. Functional knee orthoses are utilized to treat instability following a ligamentous or other injury to the knee. These injuries include, but are not limited to, the: anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), medial collateral ligament (MCL), lateral collateral ligament (LCL), and/or menisci. Your orthotist will perform an individualized evaluation to determine which knee orthosis design is best for your needs and functional goals.
