The ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the physician practice of UT Health performs surgeries and procedures that involve the orbit, eyelids, eyebrows, tear ducts and face for cosmetic, functional and reconstructive purposes.
Most oculoplastic surgeries can be done on an outpatient basis and have fairly quick recovery. Additionally, the Health Science Center provides multi-subspecialty, integrated care combining oculoplastic surgery with head and neck surgery, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery to provide optimum care for complex disorders.
