The proportions of direct patient care (DPC) physicians by gender are displayed for the San Antonio Metropolitan area. The San Antonio Metropolitan area consists of Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, and Wilson Counties.
The proportion of the workforce that is female increased from 19.4 to 23.7 percent.
Males continue to account for the majority of physicians in 2003.
