Students and faculty members are committed to meeting the needs of the people we serve. During the educational programs, students are assigned by faculty or simply volunteer to participate in community efforts related to health or quality of life issues. This community partnership is highly valued by the University and by those in our community. By the way, the community we serve includes almost all of South Texas, including the Mexico-Texas border communities. Simulations and case studies can never replace real-life learning experiences.
