  • Why Donate?

    There are several compelling reasons to support The School of Allied Health Sciences Alumni Appeal for Student Scholarships campaign. Scholarship support,

  • Alleviates anxiety for students over looming debt;
  • Promotes self-respect and confidence as it recognizes individual academic achievement;
  • Allows students to focus on class attendance and studies, clinical field rotations, community outreach and service-learning programs;
  • Strengthens our ability to recruit and retain outstanding students from all age groups and various cultural backgrounds;
  • Advances the academic learning environment at the School of Allied Health Sciences while enhancing the UT Health Science Center’s mission of educational excellence.

  • 2006 Respiratory Care students

    2006 Respiratory Care students who received scholarship support from the Alphonse Siros Charitable Trust are attending school on our Laredo Extension Campus. They plan to remain in Webb County, a medically underserved community on the Texas-Mexico border, when they graduate. Scholarship support ensures that qualified students can be recruited…and retained.

  • Students receiving any income from outside jobs while trying to concentrate on rigorous curriculum demands are only eligible for limited financial aid and scholarship support;
  • 95% of our students receive job offers in their respective fields before they graduate;

  • Mr. Ellis Goins

    Mr. Ellis Goins, SAHS 2007 Presidential Ambassador Scholar, served our country as a U. S.
