should complete at least 50 semester credit hours of prerequisites
before applying to the Program. This includes biology and
chemistry with appropriate laboratories. When selecting
your prerequisite science courses, be sure to select the
courses that will count toward a biology or chemistry major
or that is appropriate for pre-medical students. No survey
or introductory science courses will satisfy the science
prerequisites for CLS.
You do not need to complete all prerequisites and core curriculum courses before you begin your coursework at UTHSCSA. During your sophomore and junior years you may be dually enrolled at UTHSCSA and another university or college such as UTSA or SAC. Transfer students who have completed all prerequisites and core curriculum courses may be full-time students at UTHSCSA.
