Requirements for a Post-Baccalaureate
Categorical Certificate in Clinical Chemistry
EFFECTIVE FALL, 2004
The student must have a baccalaureate from a regionally
accredited college/university with a combination of 30
semester hours of biology and chemistry, including a minimum
of 16 semester hours of chemistry (the chemistry hours
may include CLSC clinical chemistry courses.) Prerequisites
include: general chemistry I/laboratory, general chemistry
II/laboratory, organic chemistry I/laboratory, biochemistry,
immunology (upper division immunology or CLSC 3065 Clinical
Immunology), statistics and human physiology. These courses
may have been completed as a part of the baccalaureate
or may be taken concurrently with courses from the curriculum
in clinical chemistry upon approval of a faculty advisor.
