Over the years, the SEC has volunteered for many organizations including the San Antonio Food Bank, organizing and delivering food to the needy; the United Way Days of Caring, helping to keep our community clean, and assisting the elderly by providing information about special drug programs; the Texas Folklife Festival, taking tickets at the gate or offering assistance to Festival attendees. We also plan and organize annual campus events: the UT Health Science Center Picnic, the Administrative Professional’s Day floral sales, and each year, sponsor a fundraising event for the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) which includes the Acadiana Luncheon. We also provide to UT Health Science Center personnel the opportunity to acquire discount tickets offered by many area San Antonio businesses.
