The SEC holds an annual fundraiser for the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC). 100% of all profit is given to charities selected by the SEC.
This year the Special Events Council is sponsoring three of the four food trucks: Smoke Shack, Society Bakery, and Lagniappe Today, in conjuntion with the Dental Dean's office, sponsoring Cheesey Jane's.
The food trucks will be on the main San Antonio campus on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in visitor lot 6 (near main Floyd Curl Dr. entrance). The food trucks have agreed to donate 20% of their sales that day to the State Employee Charitable Campaign. Past charities our Special Events Council have supported and raised thousands of dollars for include the American Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, the San Antonio Food Bank, the Fisher House at Lackland Air Force Base, and others. Your support is appreciated and the charitable organizations will benefit greatly due to your purchases.
