The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio hosts an annual summer picnic, usually in early July in honor of Independence Day, at the Lozano-Long campus. The campus wide event for faculty, staff and students is organized by the Special Events Council with the support of the Office of the President.
This “morale boosting” event offers free food, entertainment and access to various vendor booths set-up by participating campus organizations, as well as off-campus non-profit groups and other local businesses.
Due to budget constraints, the 2013 Summer Picnic will not be held.
