The UT Health Science Center San Antonio, Department of Emergency Health Sciences, has an immediate opening for 2 part-time faculty positions at the rank of Instructor. The positions will be responsible for clinical preceptor activities and skills lab instruction for all levels of EMT students.  Requirements include:   Current Texas EMT-P certification; 2 years formal teaching experience; 2 years experience in advanced pre-hospital emergency care.   Bachelor Degree and Texas EMS-Instructor certification preferred.

Instructor or Assistant Professor

The UT Health Science Center San Antonio, Department of Emergency Health Sciences, has an immediate opening for a FT faculty position, Instructor or Assistant Professor rank, based on educational background and experience. Candidate will assume responsibility for didactic instruction, student advocacy, and as course director.  Duties include classroom and web-based instruction,  and clinical supervision of  EMT, Paramedic, and EHS degree students; teaching AHA Life Support courses to HSC students; testing EMS skills using criteria from NREMT.  Some evening and/or weekend work necessary.   Requirements include:   Bachelor Degree in Education, Health Sciences, or related field. Masters level preferred.  Current DSHS and/or NREMT Paramedic certification; Texas EMS-Instructor certification preferred; 3 years formal teaching experience; 2 years experience in advanced pre-hospital emergency care.
