Provider Referrals

 

We offer outpatient and inpatient care through the Maternal Fetal Medicine Program at University Health System.

 

Outpatient Referrals

For outpatient clinic referrals call the UT Medicine Women's Health Center at 210-450-9500. (Located inside the Medical Arts & Research Center/MARC at 8300 Floyd Curl Drive, San Antonio, Texas.)

 

Inpatient Process

For referrals and emergencies, call the Transfer Center at 210-358-2500. The maternal transport process to University Hospital is as follows:

  • The Transfer Center will ask three questions:
    • Type of patient to be transferred (OB or maternal)
    • Doctor's name
    • City/Hospital
  • The Transfer Center staff will connect you with an Obstetrics doctor for a conference call and will remain on the line.
  • At the end of the call, the Transfer Center will ask for additional patient information.

If delivery of the patient must be made as soon as possible, our neonatal transport team is available to attend and assist with delivery. Call 1-800-616-6122 for this type of emergency.
