UT Health San Antonio is transitioning to a new, university-wide intranet, built using faculty and staff feedback about needed improvements in communication and technology within our organization.
Called My UT Health based on a university-wide vote, the intranet is scheduled to launch mid-August.
My UT Health will replace several outdated online systems. The old “portal,” found at inside.uthscsa.edu, will be slowly phased out, and all the tools and links needed for everyday business and communications functions will move more efficient and modern online home. Instead of having two separate portals—one with campus news and events and one with business links and payroll information, among other things—My UT Health will be a single new site that will be secure and tailored to the needs of all faculty, staff and students.
Offices, departments and units also will get their own secure section of the intranet so that internal events, announcements and information can be shared with the people who need it, when they need to see it.
Training will be available this summer and into the fall. There also will be an introductory “quick-tips” training video available on demand.
