The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097, to award certificates and baccalaureate, master's, doctoral and professional degrees. The institution was last reviewed and reaffirmed in 2008. Emergency Health Sciences

The Department of Physical Therapy offers a three-year, full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, which is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The council is an organization sponsored by the five national premiere organizations in deafness and maintains high standards for persons working with dead and/or hard-of-hearing students in all educational settings.
