How do I contribute to the Health Science Center?

The simplest way to contribute is online with your major bank credit card. Click on the Online Giving icon in blue at the top of this web page:

  • You can make a one-time credit card contribution, or
  • You may choose to use the Recurring Gifts option to schedule credit card contributions automatically.
  • Charge your contribution to your Visa, MasterCard, Amex, or Discover credit card.

OR, you may contribute using the regular mail. Complete a Donor Form (print one from: Donor Form*) and mail it with your check to: UTHSCSA, Office of External Affairs, Mail Code 7835, 7703 Floyd Curl Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229-3900. (Make checks payable to UTHSCSA, and please write the purpose on the check's memo line and on the Donor Form.)

Pay monthly, quarterly or annually. If you so indicate on the Donor Form, we'll send you a reminder statement for your pledge amount. Write in: “Please send reminders.”

Katrina Emergency Relief Act of 2005

The Katrina Emergency Relief Act of 2005, signed into law Sept. 23, provides the opportunity for a taxpayer to claim, as an income tax deduction, qualified charitable contributions of cash made from Aug. 28, 2005, to Dec. 31, 2005, up to 100 percent of the taxpayer’s adjusted gross income. This law even applies to gifts made to most non-Katrina-related charitable organizations, such as The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
