Economics Research

Developing both theoretical constructs and empirical work focused on equity crowdfunding (ECF) is an exciting new area of study. I have focused my research on various aspects of ECF:  a full overview of  ECF in the United States; a theoretical construct based on information/signaling theory; optimum  management/oversight of state crowdfunding systems; and analyzing the extent and impact of ECF in other areas of the world especially Mexico. I expect to continue this stream of research. My graduate student’s and I have presented our ECF work  at the ICF Meetings in Dublin as well as other meetings in the U.S.
