  • Professional Background

    Education

    • 2012 - PhD - Genetics - University of Chinese Academy of Sciences

    Training

    • 2017 - Postdoctoral Associate - Hematology and Epigenetics - University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
    • 2015 - Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Stem Cell - Indiana University School of Medicine
  • Research & Grants

My work currently focuses on the studies of cellular and molecular mechanisms of epigenetic regulators (e.g. ASXL1 and ASXL2) in normal hematopoiesis and malignant diseases. My long-term research goal is to provide the comprehensive understanding of the epigenetic regulators in hematopoietic stem cells and how alterations contribute to hematologic malignancies.

  • Publications

    • 1. The role of ASXL1/2 and their associated proteins in malignant hematopoiesis
    • 2. Chromatin regulator Asxl1 loss and Nf1 halpoinsufficiency cooperate to accelerate myeloid malignancy
    • 3. Loss of ASXL1 in the bone marrow niche dysregulates hematopoietic stem cell fates
    • 4. Loss of Asxl2 leads to myeloid malignancies in mice
    • 5. Loss of Asxl1 alters self-renewal and cell fate of bone marrow stromal cell, leading to Bohring-Opitz-like syndrome in mice
