Dental Hygiene Master of Science

The Master of Science in Dental Hygiene degree is an online student-centered program that  is committed to facilitating the development of creative thinking professionals who are competent to pursue careers in dental hygiene education, public/community health care and research. Students have the opportunity to share their experiences, knowledge and skills, work cooperatively with colleagues, and explore a variety of resources to help them reach their maximum potential as health care professionals.

Through completion of this online program, you will learn skills to assume leadership roles in academics, rural and community health settings, research, professional associations and commercial industry. The Master in Dental Hygiene program specializes in preparing faculty for entry-level and graduate programs, leaders in dental public health and research and prepares the student for possible doctoral education. We encourage our students to be self-directed and self-evaluate throughout the program. You can complete the courses online, on your own time schedule. You may work with other health specialties as part of your educational experience.

Out-of-state applicants must reside in a state that participates in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). For more information and to see if your state participates, please visit the NC-SARA website.
