Lt. Col. Andrew Cap

Chief, Coagulation and Blood Research, Institute of Surgical Research

Lt. Col. Andrew Cap is the Chief of Coagulation and Blood Research at U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research.

Career path

My career path would be hard to replicate. The key for me was to be open to opportunities, and then work extremely hard to add value to the organizations that I joined. I am a physician-scientist and officer in the U.S. Army. My clinical work is in the field of critical care hematology, and my research group focuses on developing products to improve the care of patients suffering massive hemorrhage due to trauma.

Opportunities

I would be happy to meet with students one-on-one or in groups (for example, workshops) or offer internships.

Lt. Col. Andrew Cap
