Why I chose MD/PhD
I choose MD/PhD because of my varied interests in medicine. I knew that in addition to patient care, I also wanted to be involved in some combination of research, industry, and medical device development. Having MD/PhD training allows me the greatest flexibility to pursue any of the career paths that I’m interested in.
Why I chose MD/PhD at UT Health San Antonio
I choose MD/PhD at UT Health San Antonio largely because of my interview day experience. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and it was an environment I could see myself fitting into. Additionally, I had a PI in mind that I wanted to work with at UT Health San Antonio so that contributed as well.
