About me

I consider myself from Houston, TX, but moved around a lot growing up. I went to Georgia Tech for undergrad and am currently in the radiological sciences graduate program here at UTHSCSA. Fun fact: my sister & I have birthdays exactly a week apart, and my parents have birthdays exactly a month apart.

Neuroimaging

Why I chose MD/PhD

I choose MD/PhD because of my varied interests in medicine. I knew that in addition to patient care, I also wanted to be involved in some combination of research, industry, and medical device development. Having MD/PhD training allows me the greatest flexibility to pursue any of the career paths that I’m interested in.

Why I chose MD/PhD at UT Health San Antonio

I choose MD/PhD at UT Health San Antonio largely because of my interview day experience. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and it was an environment I could see myself fitting into. Additionally, I had a PI in mind that I wanted to work with at UT Health San Antonio so that contributed as well.
