Ashlie Glassner

Ph.D. Student

Biography

Ashlie is a Nursing Ph.D. student at UT Health San Antonio. Ashlie’s research interests include doing research with persons living with dementia, learning more about their experiences, and understanding how the stigma surrounding dementia can impact their mental health and quality of life. Her goals are to one day develop interventions that can improve the quality of life and mental health of persons living with dementia and further engage persons living with dementia in research as partners. Ashlie has been a nurse for eight years with clinical experience in the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Currently, Ashlie is working as a research assistant with the Caring for the Caregiver team. She also volunteers with the local Alzheimer’s Association and facilitates a support group for persons living with dementia and a memory café.
