Biography
George Naratadam is a graduate student in the South Texas Medical Scientist Training Program (M.D./Ph.D. Program) studying pain physiology under the mentorship of Armen Akopian, PhD. For his clinical specialty, George is considering internal medicine.
About me
I am originally from the Chicagoland area and the oldest of 3. I’ve lived in three states. My favorite type of food is barbecue and I enjoy working the grill. I’ve been to over 60 concerts, the best so far being Danny Brown on the Old tour. A bucket list goal is to play high stakes poker.

Why I chose MD/PhD
I want to directly provide impactful clinical care as well as discover and thoroughly study novel biological processes with the eventual possibility of developing transformative treatments for disease. A dual degree gives me the relevant knowledge base, extensive experiences, and an overall roadmap to pursue this long-term goal.

I chose the UT Health San Antonio MD/PhD program because I recognized its upward trajectory of sucess with strong leadership and significant support to provide the best experience and outcomes for students.
