Biography
Meghan is studying the mental health of military spouses during deployment. A military spouse of 19 years, she has experienced multiple deployments and has witnessed the debilitating effects of the deployment of their significant other to a combat zone. These spouses struggle with mental and physical health issues with little resources to assist them to cope with the separation. Meghan wants to identify the coping factors that affect the military spouse’s ability to cope and examine what coping mechanisms are being used in order to identify needed resources and programs that can be implemented to assist military spouses cope more effectively with deployment.
