Andrew Hanna

Dr. Andrew Hanna was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He attended dental school at Ain Shams University (ASU) from which he earned Bachelor of Dental and Oral Surgery in 2007. He then completed one year of general dentistry internship at his dental school. Dr.Hanna’s interest in OMS grew every time he assisted his father, who is an oral surgeon. Dr. Hanna moved to the USA to fulfill his dream of becoming a well-trained oral surgeon. He attended the International Dentist Education Program (IDEP) at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry and graduated Magna Cum Laude with academic excellence award in OMS in 2010. He then started the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. Dr. Hanna’s interest in OMS comes from the challenges the specialty offers and its unique blend of dentistry and medicine. His interests outside of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery include spending time with his fiancée Sandra, traveling and serving the Sunday school children at church.
