Megan Sullivan, D.M.D., M.D.

Class of 2024

Megan Sullivan, DMDDr. Megan Sullivan is from Boston, MA. She attended Saint Anselm College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in the Science of Nursing. During college she played for the NCAA Division II field hockey team, and was inducted into the NCAA’s academic honor society Chi Alpha Sigma.

It was between her sophomore and junior year in college that Dr. Sullivan fell in love with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery while working for a family friend, and well respected oral surgeon, Dr. David Lustbader. Following college, she worked for a year as a Medical ICU nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital before applying to and being accepted to the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University.

As the only fully digitally integrated dental school in the U.S., BU offered Dr. Sullivan the opportunity to treatment plan, place, and restore implants with faculty supervision using Cerec, CBCT, and Galileos technologies.

While in dental school, Dr. Sullivan published award-winning research in the field of oral pathology, which was recognized as the predoctoral poster winner at the Yankee Dental Congress in 2016 and went on to be published in JADA in August 2016. She was also actively involved in her dental school community acting as an Orientation Ambassador for incoming students and as a TA for multiple courses. She graduated BU GSDM Magna Cum Laude in May of 2018 and was the recipient of The Dr. Steven R. Gorden Award For Academic Excellence at the graduation awards ceremony. Immediately following graduation, she began her OMFS residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Health San Antonio and is expected to complete medical school in 2021.

Outside of OMFS, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, dogs, and her college teammates (The Hawks!) She is an avid Boston sports fan and discusses the Red Sox games daily with her Nana. She enjoys spinning and running and has run the historic Boston Marathon twice.

Dr. Sullivan is so looking forward to her training experience in San Antonio and to see what the next 6 years will bring!
