Status Complete
Period 3/2008 - 1/2029
Role Principal Investigator
Grant Detail CelTx? is a two-layered sheet, made from purified cow tendon collagen, living human cells, and a substance to maintain (feed) the cells until they are placed on a wound. This is a research study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an experimental therapy called CelTx? in the treatment of shrinkage of the gums around teeth. This study compares conventional therapy (placement of tissue from the roof the mouth on gum tissue at the area of shrinkage) to treatment with CelTx? (placed at the area of shrinkage). The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of treating gum shrinkage with CelTx? compared to conventional treatment (tissue from the roof of your mouth).
