Certificate in Dental Clinical Specialties Foundations Program*

The mission of the Certificate in Dental Clinical Specialties Foundations (CDCSF) Program is to prepare domestic and international dental school graduates to compete successfully for advanced dental education programs at UT Health San Antonio or other institutions with a goal to become exemplary dentists, prepared to meet the oral health care needs of all sectors of a diverse society.

 
  • Academics

    The certificate program is a 12-month, full-time postdoctoral program for domestic and international dental school graduates.

  • How to Apply

    The CDCSF admissions and application process is through UT Health San Antonio. Application open date is pending approval from SACSCOC.

  • Tuition

    Tuition may vary depending on coursework and academic needs. Data is an estimate and subject to change.

  • Paying for School

    Grants, loans and financial aid for dental school are available.

  • Office of International Services

    For international applicants, you must first be accepted to the School of Dentistry. The Office of International Services suggests you apply for an F-1 visa; we will send you an F Certificate of Eligibility Application.

Program at a glance

Requirements

  • Professional dental degree: DDS, DMD, or foreign equivalent from a U.S. or international dental school recognized by UT Health San Antonio and the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Overall dental school grade point average (GPA) ≥ 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 92 or greater.
