Dental Hygiene Bachelor Completion Program Admissions Process

Part of the Department of Periodontics

If you are a licensed dental hygienist who would like to continue your education and complete a bachelor’s degree online, this program can be tailored to meet your academic needs.

We encourage our students to self-evaluate and self-direct throughout the online bachelor of science in dental hygiene program. You can complete the courses online, on your own time schedule. You may work with other medical and dental specialties as a part of your UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry experience.

Applicants outside of Texas must reside in a participating National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements NC-SARA state. For more information and to see if your state participates, please visit the NC-SARA website.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygienist education program recognized by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation within the United States or Canada
  • Current licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the United States or Canada
  • Minimum 2.7 dental hygiene GPA
  • Complete Texas Core Curriculum and program prerequisites
  • National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA)
  • Application Process Begins October 29, 2020

Out-of-state: $250 per credit hour and student fees
