International Dentist Education Program (2-year D.D.S.)

IDEP D.D.S.

The IDEP offers qualified graduates of foreign dental schools the opportunity to earn the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. Students begin by participating in an introduction-prep course that prepares students for success!  This hybrid course consists of interactive online training that will update your dental knowledge.  The second part of the course has customized hands-on training taught by specialists and content experts.  This is geared to maximize your clinical skills and prepare you for integration into the clinic. After participating in this course, you will be integrated with traditional third-year dental students for the remainder of your studies.  The training you receive in this program will allow you to earn a DDS degree and challenge state or regional board examinations.  This will allow you to practice in the United States.
