We offer our top-ranking Dental Hygiene Bachelor of Science program at the UT Center for Education and Research at Laredo. The Laredo program consists of online classes taught by UT Health San Antonio faculty with in-person dental hygiene faculty to teach at the SIM labs and clinics in Laredo.

The Dental Hygiene Bachelor of Science, completed during the final two years of undergraduate studies, along with successful completion of the National Dental Hygiene Board Examination, a state or regional examination, and a jurisprudence exam is required to become a Dental Hygienist.

Academics

Our program prepares students for licensure and entry to the dental hygiene profession through two academic years of upper-level coursework.

Prerequisite Courses

Completion of all prerequisite courses with at least a grade of C (2.7 GPA)

How to Apply

We accept up to 8 students each fall. Dental hygiene admission is a competitive process. We consider many factors in addition to your academic credentials.

Clinical Experience

Our students will obtain clinical experience in established Laredo health settings.
