Physician Assistant accreditation
Accreditation
The Accreditation Review Commission on the Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to UT Health San Antonio's Physician Assistant Program sponsored by the UT Health San Antonio. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Graduation from an accredited program is required to sit for the national exam. The UT Health San Antonio Master of Physician Assistant Studies program is currently accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on the Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). This accreditation allows graduates to sit for the national licensure examination.
The national licensing exam allows initial professional licensure in any state.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2028. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
