Master of Science in Respiratory Care accreditation information

The UT Health San Antonio Respiratory Care Program, 200422, Master of Science in Respiratory Care, is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.

In 2017, the program was visited and reviewed by CoARC and received a 10-year approval indicating full compliance with all accreditation standards and program outcomes data can be found on the CoARC website. 

Graduation from an accredited program is required to sit for the national exam.  The Master of Science in Respiratory Care program is currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).  This accreditation allows graduates to sit for the national licensure examination.

The national licensing exam allows initial professional licensure in any state.

Graduates of the Master of Science in Respiratory Care programs are eligible to sit for the national board examinations given by the National Board for Respiratory Care. 

The CoARC Outcomes Data website provides outcomes data for all accredited programs. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.
